The President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has said that Alhaj Ali Hassan Mwinyi and the National Library will continue to be remembered not only in Tanzania but also in other countries. He said that there has been a saying "Mbuyu has fallen, and if you don't know the meaning of Mbuyu has fallen, then go find it and you will understand".
The late Alhaj Ali Hassan is being buried today in his village Mangapwani North Region North District B Unguja
