EXPLANATION OF ALLEGATIONS OF ASSAULT

WCB Wasafi Label Management wishes to provide clarification to the public on the information being circulated regarding the personal bodyguard of Masani Nasibu Abdul Juma Issaack aka Diamond Platnumz. The bodyguard of the artist is linked to attacking the writer of Bongo Star Media TV after the Night Concert on 02/24/2024 in Zanzibar.

The management would like to inform the public that the information is not true and has the tendency to mislead and instill hatred. The truth of this matter is that the reporter crossed the limits of the law to get information by trying to force him to go and record the artists Diamond and Zuchu in the area of the hotel where journalists are not allowed to enter but only for the residents of the hotel. The security guard and his colleagues used methods that respect and protect the rights of journalists in preventing him.

Even the video that is being circulated does not show the reporter being attacked, it only shows him being restrained and then the video is interrupted and it appears that he is on the ground. Due to the number of journalists present, we believe that a video showing the journalist being attacked would not be missing. The way this event is spread and talked about leads us to believe that there are signs of wanting to defame the Director and Artist of the Wasafi label.

The management would like to inform you that despite Diamond Platnumz being a musician, he is also

a major investor in the information sector. And he has been working closely with all media stakeholders in the country. So not only him but even his assistants and his entire line recognizes, respects and protects the rights of journalists.

We call on the media to follow the boundaries of work and laws enacted in respect of dignity, privacy rights and humanity. Also avoid making false news that can bring hatred and harm the reputation, respect of the industry and the journalists themselves.

Durban State Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi has told reporters that out of the 6 suspects, two had guns, two planned the murder, but also another person who allegedly owned a weapon and a car that was supposed to take them to carry out the murder and disappeared

The other two have been arrested in the neighboring country of Eswatini where they have also been linked to several other murders that occurred in the past.

With the help of the International Police (Interpol) and Eswatini, the South African Police were able to arrest the two suspects who were hiding in the neighboring country of Eswatini. And plans to bring them back to South Africa to bring them to court are still ongoing

It has been made clear that AKA was following him from the time he landed at Durban Airport to the restaurant where the murder took place. Even so, the police did not clarify the main reason for carrying out the murder due to the fact that the investigation of the murder is still ongoing.
